Architectural garage doors

Custom Garage Doors

Purpose-designed garage doors for contemporary homes where the door needs to work as part of the architecture.

Measured, supplied and installed

A garage door designed with the façade, not added after it.

On many contemporary homes, the garage door occupies a large part of the front elevation. A custom door gives more control over panel layout, materials, colour and visual alignment so the finished system can support the architecture rather than compete with it.

Three architectural door systems

Tranquilo is suited to a smooth, minimal panel appearance. Alumicomp uses aluminium-composite face panels with configurable joints and framing. Alumalite uses an aluminium frame with selected inserts to create a lighter or more detailed architectural composition.

The right direction depends on the façade materials, door size, joint lines and the level of contrast wanted around the opening.

Plan the details before manufacture

Custom doors need decisions to be resolved earlier than standard doors. Panel proportions, negative details, frame colour, cladding direction and the relationship to nearby windows or battens should be considered before ordering.

YMS measures the opening and works through the practical installation requirements alongside the visual selection. That keeps the design grounded in a door system that can be properly fitted and operated.

Premium finish, practical handover

A custom appearance still relies on accurate tracks, springs, hardware and opener setup. The complete system is installed, aligned and tested before handover, with the operating requirements explained once the door is running correctly.

Common questions

Before you choose.

Can a custom garage door match my cladding?

A complementary or closely coordinated result may be possible depending on the cladding, panel material and available finish. Samples and façade details should be reviewed before ordering.

Can I choose the panel layout?

Custom ranges offer more control over panel joints, framing and inserts. The final layout must also work with the door structure and opening dimensions.

Do custom doors take longer?

They generally require more design decisions and manufacturing work than standard doors. The expected lead time is confirmed as part of the quote.

Are custom doors available for replacement projects?

Yes, provided the existing opening and surrounding structure can support the selected system. A detailed site measure is required.
